Maybe not immediately but it almost never works out for the best.

As for me, I know for a fact I don't want kids anytime soon but I'm open to the idea of it in the future. My mom had me when she was my age (21) and it was always a struggle for her, especially since she was a single parent. I'll stick by my son or daughter if I ever have one with somebody but that somebody is gonna hafta be pretty awesome.
Wow man u got tough suddenly lol. I believe appropriate spanking works great. Also of course isn't a replacement for modelin or positive reinforcement

I just realized that might've been the case, my bad but my point stands:

The potential negative outcomes of physical punishment outweigh the temporary benefits. It's really not a matter of belief. You're better off disciplining them by taking something they enjoy away and then giving it back after they've learned their lesson.

Agreed. Sure, it makes them scream even louder, but with conditioning they'll learn how to behave.

Spankings are proper punishment, but I've seen customers go absolutely ape**** on their kids, and that's horrible. I actually almost called the police on a customer once because she pushed her kid down inside a shopping cart and they smashed their face on the side rails. Discipline is OK, but there's a fine line between discipline and abuse.

People that beat their kids as oppose to spanking are the worse. Also, you should never spank a kid when you are mad because you will tend to go overboard. I agree with spanking but would never do it in public. People are quick to call CPS on you for a light spanking. While others stand by watching kids get pushed face down into carts and won't even call the police.

Recent studies suggest that IQ tests ain't really an accurate indication of one's intellignce - merely a good indication of how well one can complete an IQ test, so they ain't a good way of deciding who should and shouldn't have kids. Makes sense that the most complex object in the universe known to man cannot be gauged by a silly test.

As for who should have kids. Whoever wants them. Stupid couples can have clever kids. Clever couples can have stupid kids. Nature has her own ways.

Not only that but how well do they taken into account peoples social skills and street smarts. Id rather have those two than raw intelligence. I think it would help me be a happier person.

I was working for a shitty corporation at the time and could have lost my job for meddling - this happened at my register btw (even though it tore at every fiber of my being and I still regret it).
