The coolest kinds of people are the people that vehemently argue things for clearly no reason.

I have no idea what your motivation for even posting in this thread is and I have no desire of going back in the thread to find it out, so carry on I guess. You posted an anti-gun chart, so I have no damn clue what you're getting at.

Obviously the ONLY possible way to combat the insane gun culture in this country is to outlaw all guns. Obviously we want to confiscate every firearm from every responsible sane gun owner. That's what I'm talking about with the NRA KoolAid. If a community wants to pass a law, ANY law, to keep these firearms in responsible hands, it means we want total abolition. If we only say that a responsible gun owner has no practical use for fully automatic 100-round magazine armor piercing cyanide tipped ammunition then we're crazies that are out to take every gun out of every responsible home. You did it a couple posts ago. That's the way it always goes. That's the KoolAid.

ah yes, the background checks or whatever you think will actually fix everything, despite outrageous evidence that most of the mass shooters have been known to be perfectly normal people before they cracked. most of the time the people crazy enough to go through with this are smart enough to know how to plan it out in secrecy before they go through with it.

yet despite that I still support background checks being implemented (but apparently i'm drinking NRA koolaid lel), but I still fail to see how that's going to change things as drastically as you seem to think they'll change. I'm not sure if you're aware of how easy it is for street thugs to hit up their local black market gun dealer and get their hands on a firearm.

Come on dj you're smarter than this.
I am glad that you know the functions of a law.
I still don't get why you think regulation is useless then. My argument is perfectly fine.

Gun control isn't about banning guns or taking guns away from people that already have them. It seems like you think it is.

that's exactly what a large majority of people of gun control people want. a lot of people reference the UK, where guns really are basically illegal to own. I'm arguing against all gun control besides potentially background checks.

A large majority of people that want gun control is against having people owning Aks and being able to buy guns so easily and by pass background checks by purchasing guns through trade shows. Most people that are against gun control want to stock pile weapons enough to create their own militias. This isn't just about people wanting a simple handgun to protect themselves.

I literally have never heard any for-guns person say this and you are just absolutely delusional to think this is true. I don't even want a gun and I want nothing changed. Butthead clearly said he only wants a handgun for self defense. I literally have no idea where you've read this or anything like it or why you think it's some majority opinion.
