I know what sort of stuff goes on, but as far as I know, those countries are no more their lands than they are mine. I want to know what makes it theirs and why they have a connection to said land.

He may be from an African country that the British Army decided to roll into with murderous intentions. We don't know, therefore we cannot jump to assumptions. I.e. He is Muslim. They're coming to destroy the Western World. Saying 'our lands' does not make him Muslim. If I killed Alex Salmond because he was threatening my land that'd be me making a political statement about independence, not being Muslim.
The media have put the idea in your head that we should be scared. The idea that there were ulterior motives at hand. The killer has just explained to the world it was a political killing. This is not terrorism! |

But I totally agree with this being the media muckracking and trying to keep everyone scared so there is no dissent. |

I hate The Daily Mail as much as the next person. I won't even give them the revenue or the website hit to read the link.
I do have one question though. Do you know for sure that it was The Mail that reported that they were heard to shout "Allahu Akbar"? Cause I've read many different sources, not The Mail, and they are all reporting that. |

Someone put the idea out there. The Mail were the first outlet I saw adding that part of the story. After several eyewitnesses and the killer himself were interviewed on camera, conveniently not one of them mentioned "Allahu Akbar" being shouted.
If you are in journalism, you cannot just report things like that with no evidence, it just incites ignorance. |

How do we know that Islam isn't just the gun they're using and the people are bullets?
It would make sense to me. Just like Christianity was thousands of years ago. Also we have to decide who controls the media of course, that's a huge one. |

The way British and American society point fingers at Islam is the exact same way Hitler pointed fingers at the Jews.
Based on nothing but ignorance, hatred and an obsession with holding one group of people accountable. It's just scapegoat tactics to cover up their own failings. Just like 9/11. Blow up a few towers, blame Islam. Push through foreign policy in the wake of bombings. Illegally invade Middle East. Get re-elected. |
