They're Chechnyans.

The BBC here are confirming they are indeed brothers. They source the uncle.
Chechnya is predominantly Muslim. Not jumping to conclusions btw.

Oh wow, that's random. I haven't turned on the TV yet so I didn't know they had new developments.

Apparently the one who's still on the loose drove over his own brother to escape police. Fucking psychopath.

Maybe he wanted to kill him so he wouldn't say anything?

BBC seems to be saying they've been in the U.S since 2001?

Apparently the older one was interviewed for a boxing match he was in last year and he claimed to have "no American friends". How the hell can you live in a place for over a decade and not have any friends there?

Also, he apparently did mention that he's a Muslim in that same interview.

Really? Yeah that's pretty mental, but then it also makes sense why nobody came forward if nobody knew who they were...if the 10 years quoted is right anyway. It's a BBC Moscow correspondent saying "Ahem! If you are a Chechen from Kyrgyzstan, lived briefly in Dagestan, then lived in America for 10 yrs+. The connection to Chechnya is slim" on twitter, no idea if that's from Russian information, I checked the main BBC site and it echoes what djchameleon says "at least one year"

I guess me and that reporter have a different definition of what constitutes a slim connection. I would think if your entire family is from a place, that's a pretty big connection. My wife, for example, only lived in Jamaica for a year but it's where her entire family is from and it's a very big part of who she is as a person.

He might've ran over him after he was already severely wounded from the gun fight.

The brother that got away is blaming the cops for killing his brother and threatening to kill everyone because of it.
