Again, I'll ask what exactly do you think my "argument" is?

I'm getting a little sick of people putting words in my mouth here.

This story was pretty touching. Sorry for all of the people in Boston dealing with this aftermath. I watched all last night hoping they would find the perpetrators. Lots of people will say they lose faith in humanity, but stories like this reaffirm why people should always have faith in humanity.
Thanks for that Fred.

You're allowed to hold any opinion that you want, but it was definitely disrespectful to the majority (and probably ALL) of the victims who weren't involved in the schemes of the IRA.

You're only shocked because of your ignorance on the subject of the IRA, if you don't mind me saying so.

It runs very very deep in England, and to be really honest I get the feeling you're not qualified to even offer an opinion on it.

What does the IRA have to do with the Boston Marathon bombing? Maybe you should stick to the subject or start an IRA thread to talk in.

I didn't bring the IRA up, I was simply making a point. I think it was a valid point, and I have no intention of going on about it.

Actually, I said I was shocked that the opinion was openly stated in here by someone who I thought would know better than to post it in this thread. The comment itself did not surprise me, like I said in my earlier post. I get that strong feelings about the IRA are running rampant in England. It's probably identical to all the feelings about Quebec separatism in Canada.

However, I don't see how the IRA or anyone who funded it is directly connected to the bombings in Boston. I'm allowed to say what I'd like to say on the subject, just as anyone else is, so don't say that I'm not qualified to do so.

I'm not going to derail the thread any further. If there are people who would like to talk about the IRA, etc, do so in another thread dedicated to the topic.

I agree with Fred and Burning Down. A separate thread would be more appropriate.
It's a pity this one got a little off topic.
It's been regrettable.

Urban, whatever ever you do, don't mention the Troubles.
I mentioned it once, but I think I got away with it.
