Default Jamie foxx says "black people are the most talented people in the world".

Jamie Foxx: ‘Black People Are The Most Talented People In The World’ | Radar Online

While he may have a point, 'cause don't get me wrong, some of my favorite music is made by black people, I think it was a little racist. I think there has become a double standard when it comes to this kind of thing. If a white actor came out and said white people are the most talented, he would be shunned, he would be called racist and his career would probably suffer. I will probably be considered racist for voicing this opinion.

What do you think?

I guess he can think what he wants but thats a fairly general statement. And it certainly is a double standard as al sharpton/jessie jackson would lose their **** if a white man said it.

I think you are just jealous that you don't have two old guys to represent and speak FOR YOUR WHOLE RACE!

No, there isn't a double standard. Jamie Foxx is already on people's list of being a racist since he did the SNL opening monologue "How black is that?"

I was certainly being tongue in cheek. I understand that the interview was also probably segued with a question. Whats Jamie gonna think, hes black so hes gonna run with it of course. And I generally couldn;t care less about what some movie star thinks about people they don't live in the real world anyway.

I mean, if you read the article, what he's saying is explained perfectly.
Making it about race for a black person is nothing because for black people and people of color, it's always been about race. Everything is always about race.
The first "Puerto Rican" _______ the first "black" president. It's always about race for those who aren't white so for him to bring up race isn't really to be racist (which isn't really possible in this case).
Also, I'm sure he knows not every black person is the most talented in the world. He's an intelligent person, I really don't think he thinks that simply.

Thats why i commented it was a general statement. I was more commenting about the fact that NAACP would have a field day with a statement like this made by a white actor. Hell look at John Mayer. LOL

It is racist, and if you are going to call me a racist for saying that it is racist well then I guess I am racist too. I liked him in Django Unchained but I have lost respect for him for saying this.

There will never be equality as long as people that feel they are discriminated against keep on pointing out the fact that they are different. I'm sick of hearing about it. Whether they are black, gay, female or whatever.

Jamie Foxx wins an award, good for him. That award is his, it does not belong to the black race. You see it all the time especially on TV, whenever somebody does something they always have to point out how its some greater victory for the group they 'represent'. There was an Asian guy on American Idol last year I think and he kept banging on about what an achievement it would be for an Asian to win. Why? If you can or can't sing that has nothing to do with your race, you're just a shit singer. You see it all the time, it's cringeworthy.

He's stating an opinion. I happen to think white people are better musicians than black people, but am I racist? No. I love black people. I'm just stating an opinion. I don't think Jamie Foxx meant to sound racist, he's obviously not. Sensitive people.
