These things tend to happen in waves. Copycat syndrome I guess. I'm assuming that in a year or so it will settle down.

So true, it's not just on everyday, it's on multiple places and they will plaster it everywhere they damn well can. You can't "raise awareness" on an issue we all know is very real, possible and unpredictable. But when you have so much media coverage, everyone is conscious of it, and unfortunatly he have some f'ed up people who are unstable. The mind can go into a loop if the information is repetitive and traumatic, but the media will suck all the money out of the stories cause they're nothing but a business.

I'm more annoyed at the complete shutdown of the brain by the media in deciding to cover every single one of these incidents. For the past two weeks in the NY Times, you were bound to get at least a couple of editorials a day regarding guns. At the cost of sounding 'insensitive', somebody wake me up when the debate is over.
