Default Lil Reese beats up girl.

It shames me sometimes to be a hip-hop fan when you see morons like this guy bringing the whole genre into dispute.
If you haven't already heard, the aforementioned showed just how 'lil' a person he is by beating a girl to a pulp.

Here's the video. I will warn you, it's pretty violent.

What are your thoughts, Lil Reese was number 1 trend for most of today because of this. Does being a hip-hop artist come with the added pressure that young artists should act like the cold hearted gangsters many portray in their music. Or is this guy just an absolute c/nt that should be imprisoned. Discuss.

Well this guy is obviously a psycho asshole, but it doesn't "bring the whole genre into dispute" for me. It's one person who's a bastard, it has nothing to do with music.

I'm not so sure... It's a bit like saying dutch football doesn't have anything to do with violence. Music is just art, Football is just a game, but there sure is a link.
Still I don't think music has anything to do with violence in this case.
Artists though are often well... ****ed up. Nevermind the genre.
Bertrand Cantat, Michael Jackson, Pete Doherty, now this guy, whoever he is.

Exactly this.

And the implication that the violence is somehow worse or more shocking because it was against a woman is quite misogynist.

That is actually the opposite of true. Generally speaking, violent crime has been at historic lows in recent years.
