Are people born gay?
I've been wondering about this question ever since I found out my own sexuality. Of course, I am not very knowledgeable in the area of biology, so I figured I would ask the people of this site for their opinions.

No, homosexuality is a corruption of the devil.
:rolleyes: Sadly some people think this is true. Had a big argument about this with some bible thumping Friends. I was really shocked to see that some young people in this day and age still think like that. |

I don't have a reference to back this up as I learned about it as an undergrad, but there is a male determining gene on the Y chromosome and some research has shown that gene is missing/not highly expressed in homosexuals. This gene also has a link to testosterone levels, so this fits with what someone said above.

I'm not a scientist but my suspicion is that the real answer to this question is going to turn out to be a lot more complicated than a yes or a no.
