Just because you find someone attractive doesn't mean you're gay. It's about sexual chemistry.
I find some men attractive but don't have any fantasies to take it further. It's much more complex than weather if you're born liking sausages or pancakes. Some people believe it cannot be changed and that's the way it is. Some people think its taste, could be experiences or choices. Sexually is as I've mentioned, incredibly complicated to pin down. Especially human sexuality.

It doesn't make much sense that humans should utimately, deep down, feel exclusively heterosexual or gay. We're social mammals and other social mammals often behave homosexually. We apply labels to ourselves and make them part of our identity because that's what our society is like. If society was different, like ancient Greece for example, perhaps "heterosexuals" would care less about labeling themselves as hetero and would live out the gay part of themselves more often, even if they were mainly attracted to the opposite sex.
Even if we only live out one part of our sexuality, we're all sexually positioned on some shade of grey on the straight-gay gradient.

I agree, and well-said @tore.
I don't think you're born one way or the other necessarily. I think homo/bisexuality is as natural as heterosexuality. I think it's about the society you live in. to an extent at least |

I think it is natural that most are most strongly attracted to the opposite sex as natural selection would make it that way, but I don't think natural selection would make us sexually exclusive towards one sex only. I think that is a socially created behaviour that we've created.
Sex is not necessarily only for reproduction. It could strengthen social relations, relieve stress and, frankly, it feels good. Bonobos have sex with eachother all the time and it is believed that it has evolved as a social lubricant; to avoid conflicts, strengthen social bonds and promote peaceful coexistence. As a result, bonobo chimps are much less violent than "regular" chimpanzees. Human sexual behaviours have evolved for reproduction (of course), but could also have evolved in part for other benefits, like those the bonobos enjoy. And of course, two sexual partners don't have to be of opposite sex to enjoy such benefits.

Well if you look at the difference in sexual orientation in sub-cultures, it seems to be vastly different as well. I agree with you 100% almost, but I think that in an open-minded world, humans would be more bisexual than simply heterosexual. I see animals, primates specifically, and they're a lot like us. It doesn't end at sexual orientation either.

It depends completely on the person. I think my "hardest" kiss was with a girl and the softest with a guy - a friend of mine with big, luscious lips

Do we actually know that this is the reason, or are we just guessing that that's the reason? Makes sense, but I've never really been that into primates so I don't know one way or the other.
