My real fear is the traction he gained will make him an attractive candidate for a position in a Republican Administration somewhere down the line.

Well if you don't take that step, you can't win an olympic gold medal, no?

Well, it was just my opinion, you don't have to believe it.

Explain to me your position, Burning Down.
I never explicitly said that I was personally happy or not happy about Santorum dropping out of the race. In fact, I can assure you that I'm really quite neutral about the whole thing, and for one reason only - I DON'T LIVE IN THE UNITED STATES. Sure I hold American citizenship, but I step back from the politics because I don't currently live there and won't really benefit from the outcome of an election.

And I'm not sure if that's what I was trying to say... I never said that I hated Santorum personally. Maybe he's a nice enough guy, but I strongly disagree with his political views.

The fact is/was people were giddy about him dropping out. Thats fine, but you need to recognize that he's dropping out because his child is sick. So he's making a decision to stop pursuing political office, he doesn't want to stop pursuing political office, he wants to keep running against a man who he believes is fraudulent. But he cannot because he values his daughter’s health more than winning office. And in that decision, people are finding elation.
Didn't you just agree with me that his daughter was not the sole reason for him dropping out?

Edit: Also, I do think its great that you've compared the two because now we're getting down to brass tax. We should be thrilled that Rick Santorum is out of the race because his child is sick, but we should be horrified that people cheered Bin Laden was dead...and I'm the one who's crazy.
The man who compares homosexuality to bestiality, and wants to bomb Iran. Who wants to cut Medicare. Are you ****ing kidding me? How many people will die because of THAT Brennan? How about if he eventually got his way, criminalising abortion? Good god. I'm not happy his child is sick in any sense, nor would I celebrate anyone's death with such yokely joy. He should take this opportunity TO THINK ABOUT THE FACT HE CAN AFFORD CARE FOR HIS CHILD, AND RECOGNISE THE PRIVILEGE OF SUCH.

Your selective morality is ****ing disgusting.

I know it's hard for you to comprehend, but people are celebrating him leaving the race, not his daughter's sickness. Yes, he left the race partially because his daughter is sick, but that is most definitely not the main reason he pulled out.

Even if it was the main reason he pull out, he still was willing to take away the health care reform that was saving so many lives, people going through things just like his daughter and worse. Without that healthcare reform, many people would have died, with it, lives were saved. So if we take it away again, more will die.

SANTORUM WAS WILLING TO DO THIS.

This is the part that angers me the most.

And also, did everyone forget the three other corrupt candidates we have to deal with?
