I don't wanna have to clean the leaky fridge that my boss is too cheap to replace but I still gotta do it because that's part of my job and I need the money. The difference is my body isn't being violated in the process. I'd imagine refusing to do certain things could affect a model's reputation, too. And I'd also imagine at least a good handful of these women, probably the same ones who end up doing stuff they don't want to do, aren't functional adults. Like I said before, there's definitely some models who enjoy their work but I'd say it's a safe bet to say a lot of them are damaged people with little to no other options. I mean yeah, there's that one model who used the money from her shoots to fund her college tuition but then it turned into this whole scandal and I think she wound up transferring because people were so awful to her. It's just not a simple topic.

The whole damaged broken people doing it because they don't have alot of options just seems so stereotypical. It might be that way for a few but I don't feel like they are the majority like you do. Also your boss example doesn't work because you aren't paid per job that you do and you don't have to sign the specific details of what you are going to do that day before getting paid. Bad example.

Hey, you could be right. I was just reiterating something I remembered seeing in another documentary about the same stuff. They had a shrink analyze some of the models and found that a lot of them were pretty messed up. Far as the comparison goes, well... idk if that's how it always works out. I mean, I kinda doubt the models always get to work out the details of their contracts and I'm sure some have signed on with companies knowing they'd be asked to do things they don't want to just because it's a boost to their career. Model floats around town on cheap set doing regular stuff, all of a sudden gets an offer with some big producer, ends up doing something she doesn't wanna for the $.

I don't feel like it's a right/wrong thing. There is a bit of both of our sides that most likely go on within the industry but I just feel like the negative side gets much more of a light shined on it and people end up just condemning the whole industry because of it.
