God is in your mind?

I'm sure a lot of people think very hard for a long time in order to conceptualize and clarify their ideas of God and so on. Their religion gives them something when they've finally managed to formulate, for themselves, what they believe in. But if God was real and not just an idea, then you should be able to feel the love or whatever without having to "figure it out". The fact that only people who nurture the idea of God are able to feel God's love etc. indicates that God is just that, an idea, and how much power it has over you depends on how much you let it.
