If you pay close attention to Paul's epistles he would state the worldly interpretation of Jesus's teachings in a mocking manner and then say WHAT? And then rebuke that train of thought, and if you didn't understand he was a smartass it will seem he is contradicting Jesus's teachings. The scriptures even said Paul was very bold and rude in speech. So go back thru the epistles and whenever you see him say WHAT? Study those passages carefully and you will see the entire meaning change before your eyes. One of them he stated "it is not good for a woman to speak in church, then he says WHAT? Then rebukes that whole train of thought. And the reason he didn't use Jesus's name a lot is because he wanted people to start looking within themselves for answers and how it feels inside instead of relying on someone else's words and find that spirit inside that you are conveying here. Cause you don't have to hear Jesus preach to know what feels right on the inside or to feel love, there are a lot of people who never read the bible that are naturally instinctively living their life exactly the way Jesus said to, cause we were all born with the spirit of god already, Jesus's words just confirm what we all knew at one point in our lives. Paul even said something to this effect. You don't have to know Jesus's to be a good person you just have to pay attention to how you feel, and love and appreciation are the best feelings our bodies can produce. I guess to know love is to know Jesus.
Me and tore don't see eye to eye on every issue but that doesn't mean he isn't a good person, he doesn't believe in god but that doesn't mean he isn't a good person, that doesn't mean he doesn't love people and treat them with compassion, and that doesn't mean he doesn't instinctively treat people the way Jesus said to. I think people that say the don't believe in god actually do they just think of god the way religions interpret God to be.

^^I agree with your beliefs on Jesus. If only we could be half as wise as he was. And I'll do my own studies on Paul my friend.

I hope you realize my gripe was with organized religion and not Paul or Jesus...I guess I came back with my response in the wrong way...

I am very sorry and thank you for sharing your thoughts with me.

As you can see it is hard to interpret the written word unless you know the "spirit" from which the person speaks, and it seems I am guilty of that now, but its all good my friend, sorry I got you wrong, and it is a breath of fresh air to have you join in on this discussion. This is what I have learned, if the way we are interpreting the bible doesn't feel 100% right to you, it isn't, I didn't understand Paul's epistles until I realized he was a smartass, until I did it did seem contradictory, but when I knew the spirit from which he spake it all made sense and nothing was contradictory anymore. Once I "got" him he is actually pretty funny.
And we can be just as wise as Christ if we choose to be, like Paul said "we have the same mind as Christ" so if we want to know what he knew all we have to do is have a strong desire to know what he knew and seek it with your whole heart and soul until it all makes sense.

Love isn't in harming others.
That's right, he just likes to argue. [/sarcasm]

Love does potentially harm others if the love is recipricated.

And studied how our minds work. But trying to condone pedophilia thru what I have been saying is rediculous, wouldn't you agree?
Ok first of all, you were pushing your opinions on others, it is clear as day.

Secondly, Jansz is not condoning pedophilia. I don't know where you got that from.

Because we all know the Bible is 100% accurate, word for word.

^^I've posted in two religious themed threads and here. I will never do it again.

I know the basic reasons why people get so defensive on this topic, but sometimes enough is enough.

And old man once told me if you want to keep friends don't talk about these topics: Money/Business, Politics, or Religion.

Boy was he ever right!

Lmfao, well you need to read a little more carefully, it wasn't jansz it was tore who said my philosophy can condone pedophilia if you can't even get that right no sense in talking to you. And stating what I believe and explaining how I have come to believe it is not "pushing" just as tore does, he is not pushing anything, he is just stating what he believes this is a discussion forum right, there can't be a discussion if there wasn't more than one side to be considered. Hence discussion. And saying my philosophy can condone pedophilia is arguing just to argue cause there was no merit for the argument. (lack of sarcasm). And if love isn't reciprocated and it hurts you you will learn not to let your happiness depend on how someone else feels about you so it helps you. And if you did truly love the other person you would want them to be happy even if it meant they weren't with you, and it would be cool with you, so maybe what you described isn't love at all, sounds like selfishness, a selfish love. Like it says in the bible, love isn't selfish. It seems like everyones definition of what love is is different

I always find these threads interesting and redundant, at times. I think that the question that is at hand here, its' resolution, its' definitive resolution, is incomprehensible and beyond our capabilities. It is like a Psychedelic Experience, when someone experiences aspects of their mind previously unknown, they understand what "god" is for a few seconds and then forget it when the trip is over, or at least lose that absolute comprehension and perception. I think whatever god is something that is everything, everyone, every molecule, and that behind the seams of what we "see" physically, is energy, pure energy, things floating around and interacting with each other, bouncing off one another. We simply just see it in this form, our conscious minds materialize it into something we can make sense of.

uh... yeah. Its really hard to explain I guess.

You explained it really well, I know exactly what you are saying. I could have explained it in those terms too but I didn't think anyone would be able to grasp it in those terms but it seems they don't grasp it in my terms either so what the hell, lol
So how to we translate that knowledge in a way that we can apply it to everyday life? We have emotions that give us energy and we have emotions that drain it, and the emotions we feel are dictated by how we choose to see things, cause everything is illusory, thing are to us how we choose to see them.
What gives us energy? Love, passion, seeing the good in everything and everyone, seeing God in everything.
Focusing on what is good in our lives and what's good in everyone else gives us energy makes us feel good. The good gives us energy, positive thoughts gives us energy. Doing what we love gives us energy. On the opposite Hate and anger which are a result of judgement drains the energy from us.
So if everyone would just do what Jesus said and practice it in your lives you would know, instead of disregarding him without trying for yourself.

Like, we are all connected. We are all the same being(god) but what ****ing confuses us, is this subjective way we see "life". Every plant, every rock, every spec and animal, are all part of the same energy, a pool of existance and energy. I am not afraid of the concept of death (although I might say different when it nears! haha), every has to face it some day, and biollions have already experienced it, not just humans. Who is to say that our psyche ends when we physically die, I personally don't believe it does, a transition happens obsviously. Another thing I am becoming very aware of is time, and whether or not it is an illusion of some sorts. If you think about it, just imagine for a second, that everything that ever was and ever will be, was all happening at the same moment, and time was a fabrication, an illusion. Imagine if what happened where you are sitting right now 1000 years ago, is happening right now and you can't see it. This leads into dimensions and quantum physics as well and all this stuff. It is something I think about a lot.

There are experiments that have been done to prove this, this Russian scientists I forgot his name, but he has this machine that allows you to see this life energy you speak of, they had two plants and a man walked toward on with the intention of cutting it down, and that plants energy went nuts like it knew what the man's thoughts were and the other plant did nothing. He also had it pointed onto another plant and you can see the plants form with energy and when he cut a leaf off of it you could still see the leaf thru his machine although it was cut off. Like the plant was still whole in a dimension that isn't visible to the eye. This shows you that we are connected in some way to things outside our bodies. Mind blowing stuff.
There are many people that have been clinically dead that have come back to life and they all pretty much have the same experience, and that is that their consciousness doesn't stop living. This kind of stuff is what I have been studying for the better part of a decade.
Other experiments have been done with photons(little particles of light) and DNA and the results really make you think. Like I said in previous posts go on you tube and watch " the language of the divine matrix" by Gregg Braden, he has compiled a lot of these kind of experiments and it is fascinating. If you watch it you might be the only other one on this forum to actually check it out.
You can do your own experiment to prove to yourself we are all connected, there has to be someone in your life that doesn't like you for some reason or treats you bad, if you can work them around in your mind choose to see just the good in them until when you think about the you feel nothing but love for them by finding a piece of yourself in them, and by just you feeling something different about them, something inside of them will change and they will treat you better, by doing nothing more than creating a different emotion within yourself. Like we have all heard what goes around comes around.
This is what I have been trying to say this whole time, that our thoughts and beliefs have physical power.
I have a buddy I told about this and he and his ex wife hate eachother and he started practicing forgiveness and started to actually feel love for her and she knew nothing about what he was doing cause she lives 800miles away, and she like magic started talking nice to him on the phone, and actually thanked him for some things in a text message, so what he did inside himself changed her heart 800 miles away, and if you knew these two you would not believe that was possible.
He called me up laughing and said holy **** dude I think I just saw a piece of myself in her and now he know the power of love and our emotions.
