The world is full of major crises these days, one just seems to lumber along after the other. I remember similiar riots in Brixton, Tottenham, Bristol and Bradford in the past and the severity of these was pretty bad at the time. The Tottenham riot was especially brutal, with the incident where a policeman was hacked to death. These were documented but ultimately swept under the carpet and not too much done about them, as most of these people in these areas still have the same gripe today. Sure more officers from ethnic backgrounds has I think made some positive differences in how certain elements of society view the police, but by and large if and when there is some sort of real economic up-turn, the liklihood of any future riots is largely unlikely to rival those taking place at the moment. |

London has CCTV cameras on every single street, it shouldn't be a problem identifying the perpetrators.

Dublin and Belfast could be a possibility, there's plenty of copycat ****heads that would be up for some mayhem not to mention already having a history of riots. Dunno about the rest of the country though...

Yeah some morons are trying to encourage rioting in Glasgow too. Doubt it'll happen. Touch wood.

You know what, let's forget the fact that these scumbags have been terrorising my nan, they've apparently decided to attack my own neighbourhood. This is just fantastic news.
