There is a bigger issue here.

The government gives tax breaks to corn farmers and that corn gets turned into high fructose corn syrup. They put that into all soft drinks and then have the nerve to want to turn around and put an extra tax on soft drinks because of people being overweight. WTF!?

Why doesn't the government give tax breaks on healthy food choices? Why the **** do those products have to be so expensive?

You want to know what? They want people to be as fat as possible. So that they have medical problems.

When they have medical problems then the health industry gets in on the racket insurance company, prescriptions costing astronomical prices and doctors getting their share.

Greed revolves around it all.

I so agree with this. It's a really great initiative to make healthy eating more affordable for people to make the right choices for their HEALTH. Putting people on benefits and accepting it is not the answer to helping people become a healthy weight and prevent themselves from becoming really ill.

not sure but I think South Korea is uncorrupt. and of course Singapore. I think Hongkong is too.
the rest are all swimming in poverty because of politicians who can't keep their hands off the national budget.

South Korea and Hong Kong aren't South East Asian, they're Far East

i'm talking about Asians in general, regardless of the direction.
and just an observation, majority of the American continent are really fat/obese while majority of the Asian population are malnourished

You've never been to Hollywood.

[QUOTE=captaincaptain;1065618]You've never been to Hollywood.

i'm not talkin about celebrities who really wanted to be thin. i mean, it's their choice to be like that. it's due to their lifestyle.
what i meant is that a lot of asian people are malnourished due to hunger which definitely they did not chose to.

There are many in America that starve everyday. BTW Those kids do not look malnourished at all.
