That's like saying you shouldn't listened to a band because the lead singer is an alcoholic.
Ridiculous analogies.

Not really. If you didn't know a teacher in an elementary school was a racist or a homophobe, does that automatically make her a bad teacher?

yes, it is ridiculous. comparing a band or some person on the internet to a cop or teacher is ridiculous.

yes, it would matter if a teacher is racist because eventually, it shows. racists don't usually have enough self-control and are too full of hate to shut up. and maybe you won't ever experience it as a white boy, but it really ****s you up especially when you're still a kid.

But if it never shows itself, does it still make them a bad teacher? That's the question i'm asking. If a cop never says he's racist or a homophobe, is the cop still racist if he shoots down a black man if the black man is a criminal?

You're still not getting it. A cop has the power to arrest you, beat the **** out of you, and even kill you. You don't think a strongly racist cop doesn't look at black people a bit differently? If a severely homophobic cop pulled over a car that happened to be full of flaming gay guys, you don't think it's going to affect his attitude towards them somewhat?

of course it still is racist. racism isn't saying you're ****ing racist. its what you do, what motivates you to do something. if you shoot a black guy cuz you hate black people but you don't say you hate black people it doesn't make you any less of a ****ing racist!!!!!!

Of course it would, but that's not what i'm asking. If there is no knowledge of the cop being homophobic or racist, and he shoots a black man or a gay man because they're a criminal, that doesn't make them racist or homophobic, they're just doing their job.

You're not getting it. If he doesn't act upon those and plays by the rules is he bad at his job?

So if i'm a cop, and I shoot a man who is of color, and I'm not racist, and it was for the sheer motivation to stop the criminal from killing other innocent people, is that still wrong?
