How will we ever know if the shot dude is guilty or innocent since he's dead and can't be tried in a court of law?

As Frown said, Unarmed doesn't mean innocent. But obviously Cops do bad shit. Nowhere near as much as criminals of course.

Cause that's how they're trained. If you shoot someone in the leg they might still be able to shoot you back. If they're dead there's much less of a chance. Also, a leg is much harder to hit than a chest. The chest is the biggest target on a human body and so it only makes sense to aim for it.
