I deleted my post for the sake of seeming less antagonistic, but to give your post some context here it is again:

Next I'll say that I won't discuss this topic anymore after this post. This has nothing to do with you or anyone on this forum. Gun rights are a very important subject to me. So it becomes quite easy for me to lose my composure. I wasn't originally going to reply but I decided to do so anyway.

You say owning a gun should be a privilege. Accept owning a gun in America is a right. It is a right granted by the bill of rights. What is, in my opinion, the most important document the U.S. has ever produced. And the right to own a gun is the only one that can be taken away if an individual commits a felony. So, owning a gun by law is a right! And I don't care if you think it should be a privilege. It is my right and you will not take my right from me.

And you say you don't want any idiot to have a gun? Well, any idiot can have a gun. Their easy to come by illegally. Ever heard of the Deepweb? And you can make one with supplies from any hardware store. Take a nail gun and remove the safety features. You now have a semi-automatic weapon.

Also, stricter laws in America on certain things make them have a tendency to be more easy to come by. Want proof? Look at pot and alcohol.

Apology accepted. BTW, I wrote "privilaged right". Not just the word "privilage". Two words. You can get off your soapbox now.

My point was just to make the system harder. Why is it a bad thing to want people to have to know how to use a gun or actually work a bit to be trained in gun usage before they actually have a gun in their hands? Wouldn't it prevent a lot of crimes in the end ?

But heck, just let it be. I like watching those "idiots with guns" complilations on youtube.

I also do realize there are differences between state license laws...but overall, not really a huge difference between the whole system of actually getting a weapon legally (and yes, I know..big underground arms network, don't need a license, blah blah). But to make a system with one way of getting a gun and laws that regulate how the gun can be used, where it can be used, if it can be shown or not. I mean, you are the United States, so make united laws. (ooohhh that's a quotable right there that is :) ).

Lol we do make united laws. I feel like if a stricter gun law were to happen it would be a federal law not a state one. Np for the linkage
