I bet you didn't even investigate this story. It is kind of hard to be open minded when sure there are the few cops that try to do the right thing but in this story you know what happened to this female officer? The same good ole boy tactics that always happened. She was harassed so much when officers pulling up outside of her home constantly that they ended up putting her on desk duty. She had other officers threatening her life and she eventually had to move to another area because of it. I don't think you really understand the blue code of silence and how much of an ******* they can be. I don't have issues with any cops in Newburgh or anywhere for that matter. I have never been personally harassed by cops because I just flash my military ID and get a complete different tone from them. My issue is with what is happening nationally and I'm just beginning to get disheartened by all cops in general. Yes I know it's not great to paint all cops with the same broad stroke but when you are constantly fed stories about corrupt cops how can that not have an effect on you.

Despite what you think I'm not really anti police. I'm just exhausted with all of the corrupt ones that have been coming out lately so excuse me if I decided to get into my feelings and be emotional for a bit and paint them all with one broad stroke. The police are a bunch of good ole boys that will definitely try to cover up for each other majority of the time regardless of what the bad apples in their unit do.

I knew the backstory. My point was that some officers will try to expose sh*tty ones. I won't argue with you about the blue code of silence. It's part of the system issues I mentioned. My point was the viewpoint that all cops are bad. No they're not.

Yes, I already know this that's why I stopped talking to 1blankmind about it. Of course not all cops are bad but the ones that aren't bad still turn a blind's eye to corruption that they know is going on within ranks. Also do you not see my point of view being constantly bombarded with images of dirty cops, it ends up being very disheartening to the point where those far and few between good cops get overshadowed and don't even matter in the grand scheme. They are still part of that broken system.

Ok, sure there are picture of the token white guy/girl standing next to a black person to show their support but in the larger protests, it really does not seem like that many are participating. I could be completly wrong though as I am not in the US so I cannot see these protests except through pictures/films.

There are photos in this article showing the diversity.

Well, I'll start by apologizing for saying your from Britain. I don't know where I got that from. So, sorry.

Next I'll say that I won't discuss this topic anymore after this post. This has nothing to do with you or anyone on this forum. Gun rights are a very important subject to me. So it becomes quite easy for me to lose my composure. I wasn't originally going to reply but I decided to do so anyway.

You say owning a gun should be a privilege. Accept owning a gun in America is a right. It is a right granted by the bill of rights. What is, in my opinion, the most important document the U.S. has ever produced. And the right to own a gun is the only one that can be taken away if an individual commits a felony. So, owning a gun by law is a right! And I don't care if you think it should be a privilege. It is my right and you will not take my right from me.

And you say you don't want any idiot to have a gun? Well, any idiot can have a gun. Their easy to come by illegally. Ever heard of the Deepweb? And you can make one with supplies from any hardware store. Take a nail gun and remove the safety features. You now have a semi-automatic weapon.

Also, stricter laws in America on certain things make them have a tendency to be more easy to come by. Want proof? Look at pot and alcohol.

Your absence of credibility is now has now been reduced to a negative integer.

Apart from that, Polly want a cracker? These are the same arguments that have been blurted out by NRA manchurian candidates for years now, do a little research to see how easily they're torn apart.
