I'd watch it for the life experience factor. One more thing to cross off my bucket list.
Excuse my ignorance, but can someone explain what exactly the royal family are? I'm American and don't pay attention to 99.9% of things that don't happen here, and only pay attention to about 10% of the stuff that actually happens here. To my knowledge, they are just a family...with no power or responsibilities?? I don't think I'm far off, and I don't understand the obsession or even general care for the royal family. I was gonna dispute djchameleon's claim of it being on the news constantly in the USA, but then I realized that if it isn't on ESPN I probably didn't see it. |

As an American, I really don't understand how you UK-ers even tolerate the royal family, much less adore them. I mean, they're even worse than celebrities in the sense that they enjoy ridiculously lavish lifestyle and constant fame for doing nothing other than being born, which isn't "doing" anything at all. At least other celebrities are professional actors/actresses, athletes, or what have you.
Maybe I'm looking at this all wrong but how do you guys willingly pay out part of your earnings every day to GIVE this family money for performing a role that has all but vanished in the last couple hundred years? |

I think it's funny how the minute she gets engaged to Prince William, shes suddenly "Catherine" and Kate is disposed of.

I'm working Friday too
I go to work for 5 hours, then get a 9 hour day off paid later in the summer with no royal wedding bullshit
