Essentially, that's the most elegant way to phrase exactly what I've been thinking.

That is the reason why I did this poll. To see if people didn't approve of him for that particular reason. Although, I wouldn't call what he is doing "pandering." Sometimes you need to make compromises...

Somehow, though, I think the Democrats would've been better off electing Hilary Clinton. After all... she's experienced. She has a backbones. Not to mention she's very knowledgeable when it comes to policy making and foreign affairs.

She built her platform off of violent videogames during an economic crisis. So, no...

I really doubt that.

And it's unwise to make that argument if she did bring it up. Look at what she has done now and how she has exemplified her knowledge in the past. To simply dismiss her professionalism, knowledge, and strong leadership over something as silly is that really bugs me.

It's not silly, at all. I don't want a president who wants to be mommy, and take everything dangerous from us. Hillary Clinton is one of the few people also who vowed to "censor the Internet".

Scary stuff, if you ask me.

I never got that kind of mentality from her... Still don't, but you're entitled to your own opinion.

nm, I was misinformed on this point. Regardless, I've always seen Hillary as a censor monger, regardless. And she DID build her early platforms on the 2008 election on violent videogames. Frankly, I think it proves how behind the times she seemed. Like an archaic relic from the 90s fighting for 90s causes.

I can understand if he has to compromise once in a while but that is not the case here.

Let me give you a few examples of his pandering.

1) The Public Option - This was the heart of President Obama's healthcare plan according to what he stated during the 2008 campaign. However once it came to defend it against Republican attacks he folded like a house of cards and axed it. Then afterwards he kept on giving more and more concessions to Republicans who's sole purpose was to delay the bill so the Democrats couldn't pass anything.

2) Guantanamo Bay - In the campaign he promised heavily to get rid of this infamous and detestable institution. Once he got into office he gave the idea some lip service until ultimately begging the GOP for mercy shortly after.

3) The 9/11 Trials - Obama had promised that we would be trying those connected to 9/11 in New York City Civilian Courts. The Republicans got were afraid of that and wanted them to be under Military Tribunals. Guess where those people are 90% likely to be tried... in military tribunals.

4) Sherry Sherrod - This woman didn't even do anything wrong other than to be attacked by the Conservative Media Bloodhounds for a video heavily doctored by James "Lying Sack of Shit" O'Keefe. Did Obama stick up for her even though she was completely innocent... nope. She was fired from her job unfairly because Obama didn't want to hurt Fox News's feelings. Even Glenn Beck later called him a idiot for doing this.

5) Van Jones - Same thing as Sherry Sherrod basically. Fox News created a false controversy and Obama didn't even try to defend him. In fact he was fired.
