I stated it as fact because that's what they believe.

I pray when I feel like. I fast during Ramadan. I do not wear the Hijab.
Though I don't practice my faith strictly, I identify with my Muslim identity strongly. But I do not think one needs to practice a certain way of life to be a good person. Just be good to everyone and God will be happy with you. |

You know, I am an atheist, but I've always been thinking "If god punishes everyone who doesn't live up to his rules, even though that person never really did anything wrong in their lives, he's an *******".
So this: Seems more logical to me. If there's a god he will know you're a good person, you've done your best to live a good life. If there's a god, I don't think he'd want you to pray and praise him, he'd just want you to be a good person. Seems reasonable.

I have weird views on religion, as I'm sure most people here do. I have no official religion, but I try to pray to God every day. I don't believe in any customs or anything, as I'm pretty sure all organized religion is man-made, but I like to thank God everyday for everything, good and bad.

So... how do you know he exists?

I was raised Mormon, escaped from that and now consider myself a secular humanist (aka atheist), though I've found that I identity with Taoists and Confucianists in that a lot of their focus is on common human decency. I don't believe there is a divine creator or omnipresent God, but I think that the idea of religion is a beautiful thing when it's not ****ing **** up.

it's called having faith you don't have to specifically know he exists. There doesn't need to be evidence provided.
