did you even see the video?

he literally dedicated his acts of violence to all the women that supposedly cut him down (and all the dudes they chose to give their attention to).

he obviously had some really serious shortcomings. a woman knows when a dude's a straight up piece of shit. knows well enough to avoid them, too.

Is anyone else noticing a large number of negative comments about Feminists on the web? It's really getting on my tits.

Oh and now the thread is opened again so we can have mature discussion without certain distractions.

i have noticed more talk about feminism in general over the last couple years... tbh i never heard much about it at all before and now it seems almost everywhere i turn it is increasingly discussed.

As a general rule, the more something is dicussed on the internet the more polarising the topic becomes, the more polarised the topic is the more people are susceptible to the out-group homogeneity effect, ultimate attribution error and other forms of in-group/out-group bias.

Anita Sarkeesian brought a ton of attention to feminism in recent years and tumblr has been trending the topic quite heavily, with more people engaged in dicussion you give people a larger field to cherrypick from.

I honestly don't think it matters all that much, wether you love it or hate it you're keeping the topic relevant.

YES.

It's really difficult to say "I'm a feminist" without getting stupid comments like "so, you hate men?" or people who use the word "feminazi" (that really burns me up).

It's like people are so threatened by it they try to upset you by making out that you are a bra burning, man hating female and they don't believe that women are paid less than men. When it reality most of us are actually for equality of all genders, not just women.
