I just think there's no difference between men and women.
We're just the same:Humans! And we can have the possibility to do everything in the same way. As you said before we don't have to generalize, i think it's the worst thing to understand what it' s about (as is any topic btw) ! Men can do the same as women (work, get sensitive and blablabla) it just depends of the personality. Some guys are really sensitive or weak, some women are the same and the opposite is avaible (like the snake eating it own tail). To my opinion the gender is not the question but more about the personnal capacibility, whatever you're a man or a woman. However some guys are physically stronger than women but it's not the point because it depends on how you can handle a situation... I think that women (and more in 2014) are assimilated to sensivity, sweetness and sometimes even hysteria! It' s just the reflect of the patriachy society where we grew up which pictures how a woman has to be/act...and it' s wrong (remember that midlle age is over)!!! Hella women fought against this kind of stereotypes...we have to honor them by recognize that women are equal that men because it's so through... To clear my post, i'm not saying that women have all power and men are down because it's not what i'm feeling, i just want to say that (one more time) WE ARE EQUAL in every field. Can't wait till this ridiculous fight gets off!

Feminism is a real theory but people misinterpret what feminism actually means. I get annoyed at female celebrities that water down this theory for marketing purposes.
Feminism is a complex theoretical theory that covers a wide range of issues and topics. There are different types of feminist and it is more to being a feminist besides being " sexually liberated and independent ". It focuses on how women are represented in the political world and how we are depicted in society among other things. Women are considered the weaker/subordinate sex because our culture is heavily dominated by men. Our culture has changed some what thanks to the woman's movement and other equality causes, however the fact still remains men are more dominate, have more power and opportunities simply because they are "men". I think people should not feed into this societal stereotype and ignore gender expected roles. If your a man, it is expected that you act aggressive and not show emotion. If your a woman, it is expected that you are meek, timid, etc. If the genders fall short from these expected behaviors, they are judged harshly. A woman is consider a bitch if she is to confident and outspoken likewise A man is consider weak or "less of a man" if he is shy or shows emotions. It is all b.s. People should be accepted the way they are and it doesn't make anyone less than their gender (which is a societal construct within itself so it's already b.s. to begin with) |

To kind of just let out my perspective on things, women and men in the workforce aren't equal as far as salary, woman do get less benefits, and often less respect, which is where this lust for respect is derived from.
When they kind of get this concept of freedom and "equality" to their head, they often pick someone to blame, (men), and become hypocrites turning into female supremacists, and oppressing man for simply being man, a judgmental action, when really, all they are doing is doing the opposite of true feminism, which is equality for all genders. |
