Probably not. I don't know. Tough question.

If my wife or serious girlfriend was in an accident and lost a limb, then yeah I'd love her all the same.

I think the reason I say 'probably not' isn't really just because they'd be an amputee... it's more that i dont know any amputees and im not sure if their lifestyle would match mine. Like Ive never seen one out at parties or the bar or....actually anywhere to be honest. Depends on my level of attraction i guess.

Don't know how I stumbled upon this thread, I was searching for something completely different. Anyway, I find it all interesting, mainly because I was born without my left hand. I can't say I've ever had a problem on the romantic front because of it - in fact if I do have an issue it's with my mouth.

I don't blame those who would have a problem with it on superficial grounds, we're human, though you could be missing out on the love of your life just because the person lacks 12 inches-or-so of a limb.

As far the dependence factor, human beings are incredibly adaptable. Granted, it was much easier for myself seeing as I haven't had to go through an acclimatisation process, but people learn to deal with it and lead as close to a full life as they possibly can. They have to. There's a guy I met who lost both is arms and legs, yet still managed to run a marathon. Says it all really.

I've forgotten what the fuck it was I was originally searching for now. Lame.

Interesting thread. Yes I definitely would. If I met a girl who was kind, fun, and lovely to be around, I would be seriously interested. For me, looks have much less to do with it... and that includes limbs.

By the way Sneer, good post, and well said.

I'd hope they would get some form of arm cannon in the future
