How doesn't Homosexuality benefit society when we currently sit on the brink of over-population. Statistically, children are a drain on resources universally.
This is only true for the third world. In North America the birth rate is barely at replacement level (2 children per women), and in most European countries it's dangerously low (in Italy it's something like 1.1 children per woman). So that argument doesn't really work in rich countries. This fact does, however, help the argument that it should be easier for homosexuals to adopt from other countries.

Thats a fine argument, america's birthrate as of 2005ish was 2.2 which yes, is barely above replacement, but our Immigration rates are huge, which not only explains why we're growing in population, but why you can't pretend this isn't a 1st world issue.

I can't speak for America, but throughout Europe the integration of immigrants and refugees after WWII has been a gigantic failure. Until we figure out a way to sort that out, I'd prefer if our population replacement was done through births rather than immigration. If not, the future for the immigrants and refugees will continue to be characterised by poverty and segregation.

It likely won't change in Europe. From an outsiders perspective, you can't as an individual become "French" or "Italian" or as much as some MBers try through vocabulary "English."

Americans don't have anything that defines one as American. At least not to Americans. So people here are generally just assumed to be American. Accent or not.

There is no problem with homosexuality. You can **** whatever you want as long as it's adult, human, and consenting. This isn't Nazi Germany, and we're not running into a population crises.

Terence Hill, as recently confirmed during an interview to an Italian TV talk-show, was offered the role but rejected it because he considered it "too violent". Dustin Hoffman and John Travolta declined the role for the same reason. When Al Pacino was considered for the role of John Rambo, he turned it down when his request that Rambo be more of a madman was rejected.
Al Pacino = God

I'd argue this this is wrong. Nearly every culture in the world has been shaped and contains elements of other cultures. Certainly this is the case for the UK and the English language. You only need to look at English and British history to see if this is the case.

It's a two-way process. Immigrants usually adapt to the culture of their adopted country as much as they can, whilst often exposing the parent culture to native cultural practices which can often be very successful. 50 years ago few people in the UK had eaten a curry. with immigration from India, it brought along with it curry houses, Asian clothing, Bollywood films and other elements which have been accepted into mainstream British culture. At the same time, many Indian-descended people are often fiercely patriotic and live British culture to the fullest extent.

It's about attitude as much as anything. There will be those who view the parent culture as alien and those who choose to integrate. The reasons that people successfully integrate or not are varied.

No love for aliens?

If anyone feels like opening a thread on immigration, cultural identities or racism, I'll be interested.
