BTW, there's someone saying the same thing about the 2004 Indian Ocean quake/tsunami too.

These people should not be allowed to reproduce. That's my honest opinion on people who say idiotic things like that. |

Also, climate change isn't a conspiracy theory. That's a real measurable event. The average temperature of the Gulf of Mexico has risen in temperature by close to half a degree since 1970.
Half a degree may not seem like much, but when you consider all hurricanes that pass through the gulf, all of them could be anywhere from 1% stronger with a half knot increase in windspeed, to 3% stronger with as much as 1-2 knots faster windspeed. Of course, the theory of hurricanes being stronger isn't actually provable, since hurricane wind speed is measured on a scale with increments of 5 knots, so if the gulf is producing more powerful hurricanes, we literally can't tell, but it's still a scientific theory and it's as close to fact as you can get. |

I'm still not sure if you're a troll or an honest member, but if you're simply making a joke about this, I'd just like to say that the time has long past where it was funny to make conspiracy theory jokes about climate change. People still believe it's not real, and don't want to be told that we as a society ****ed up the earth and now we individually and as a society have to make changes to fix it. /minor rant.
