I started to respond to this many times but I repeatedly found myself getting caught in a tangled web of related issues, but I really want to respond to this so I'll keep it concise.

They are not different things. Creationists, esp. Young Earth Creationists, follow an entire set of religious dogma, including a belief in their own inerrancy. That is a direct threat to the desire of myself and those like-minded people who want to live a secular life.

By the way, Creationists, including Young Earth Creationists, are not all Christian. There is an extremely significant contingency of Islamic YEC as well. The most famous is Adnan Oktar, better known as Harun Yahya.

What is even the point of arguing with someone who holds a anti-evolution stance? It's not like any type of logic is going to sway them, since faith trumps rationality any day for them.

I'm an ex Muslim but can't stand people like Dawkins or Sam Harris.

By ex Muslim I mean I grew up in a Muslim household but started to question the existence of God by the time I was 14 or 15.
