Go ahead an prove that invisible flying sea turtles do not exist and then you can say they don't exist. That is what you are asking me to prove. I am not just an atheist because of this though. If I could have a better life through theism I would, but I realize that there is no better life possible through theism. Therefore, there is no sound reason to believe in any sort of theism.

Being confident about my beliefs is not wrong, nor is it wrong when Christians do it. Christians are wrong because they believe on something without sound reason. Also, I don't force my religion on others with actual physical force. A Christian telling someone they will go to Hell if they don't believe in God is not forcing anyone. Telling people that Nazism is wrong and telling people that Jews and Africans are humans too is in every way right.

so, as long as you aren't harming anyone or forcing your belief on anyone (which you seem to admittedly do), then what does any of it matter? for practical life, it does not. i dont care who does or does not believe in god as long as it doesnt harm me. as a completely unknowable, unprovable subject, it is not relevant for anyone to argue about it.
I believe that the world would be a better place if people realized that they can enjoy life instead of viewing it as a prison from which you must accept duty.

Your posting a thread that is asking for beliefs, including mine. I don't understand why people take offense to those whom are confident in their beliefs.

Mormons believe that there is another book to the Bible - the book of Mormon. They have a lot of... different ideas when it comes to the basic fundamentals of Christianity as well.

Because he is wrong. I am not offended by his confidence, but I am offended by the fact that he would use an ad hominem argument, which isn't even remotely right.

We're talking about beliefs here, no one can really be "wrong"

Except you

That's almost as much as I know from before. There's a guy called Smith or something from USA who's a prophet and he wrote the book? That stretches the limits of what I think I might know about mormons.
