You made a choice for yourself and spoke about how you feel, but how can you speak for other people? Would you be equally open to a comment that everyone is an atheist, or everyone believes in God? To me, no one can assume they know that other people "can't know there is a God." You don't know what they mean by the word "know," what they mean by "God," you don't know the importance of God is in their life to make that statement that they know there is a God.

I think that little article perfectly answers your questions. Keep in mind I'm still developing my religious beliefs; just last week I considered myself atheist. |

I guess if someone wanted to go on about their exact religion or non-religion as a result of this thread and its options, they're welcome to. |

There's still this old thread, probably what CC referred to :
http://www.musicbanter.com/games-lis...religious.html .. Which did have a nifty poll and probably gave a lot of the information this one could give and more. What I was specifically interested in when I made it was to see what religions the religious people on MB follow and whether or not people often define their religion themselves rather than rely on some other spiritual authority to do it for them. If it wasn't for the fact the other thread's poll was closed, I would have closed this one. The reason I closed the poll was that every now and then, the thread would be ressurrected because newcomers wanted to answer the poll without writing a post, essentially bumping the thread without adding content. I am however tempted to merge this thread with the old one and just reopen the poll.

In my pre-teens, I was a naive Catholic. Hardly surprising considering I live in Ireland. Then in my teens, the rebel in me became a devout atheist...upon leaving my teens, I became somewhat uncertain. Nowadays, I believe in whatever the hell I want to - I'm seriously into reincarnation atm. At any rate, you won't see me bowing down to the cross of Jesus Christ anytime soon.
