However, they do not believe that humans have a soul that survives independent of the body, and so when humans die, they believe that the “soul” dies as well. They don’t go anywhere, they simply cease to exist. But, they also believe in a resurrection that will occur after “Armageddon”. The “Gehenna” you speak of is symbolic, not literal. It represents permanent death. Those who go to “Gehenna” will not be resurrected.

That’s it in a nutshell anyhow.
The 144,000 are of God's annointed (or chosen) to rule with Jesus in Heaven during the thousand year reign, after Jehovah and Jesus destroy the wicked on earth. During this time mankind will grow to perfection.

I'd talk more but that gets into explaining a pretty lengthy and I don't want to come off as preachy to anyone.

I was trying to be as basic as possible, but yes, that's right. Sounds like you know your stuff about J-Dubs.

I said other. I do believe in "God" But I don't so much believe in the bible. I do however have a religion I've been born into. Catholic.. well very popular yet the most hated religion out there. I do believe and go along with some of the things we are taught in this religion however, not everything is worth listening too. Somethings are just well made to control a person, and I'm very much my own personality, no God nor religion can take that away.

I don't know much about Jehova Witnessism, I just remember a story someone told me, she said she gave son (who converted to Jehova Witnessism) a birthday present and he graciously accepted it. When her birthday came around she didn't get one, so she asked her son about it and he said he could recieve birthday presents but couldn't give them. She was kinda burned up about it, too.

I've heard Catholic preists raped young boys, does that mean I'm mad a Catholics?

My point is if he was a jerk don't blame it on his choice of religion.
