Given the fact that you hand out infractions for insulting member, and then do the same, and then try and justify it...yes.

No, Toeandno and his ilk want to pick out the "poor me, you mean old mods" card whenever they don't like something.

also, you asked for this back and forth and you got it. I want people to see how the rationale of people work here, so tell me what you think I should have done.

You should have addressed the fact that the thread was going nowhere, either closed it or told people to post something worth reading. Saying 'you're retarded' to a poster doesn't address any of that.

I agree that this is a pointless thread and considering the direction it's heading I'd strongly recommend you close this already.

His word choice was put back on him. If you don't like it, appeal to his better self-worth and have him change his diction. If he'd said "I don't care for this track" and I retorted with "I don't care for you."

a. this wouldn't be an issue

b. it would have been ignored as a bad joke

c. I wouldn't have responded the way I did
