I guess it's pretty easy to fake autism. You just go the doctor to get refered to about 1000 other doctors who refer you to a learning specialist who you shell over a wad of cash for a diagnosis that might not even be autism.

There's also these people that say school accomodations for kids with learning disabilities give them an unfair advantage somehow...they don't do the work for these kids...they just give a kid that's easily distracted an exam in a room that's less distracting, just to give one example.

...you might be confusing kids with add and adhd with kids who are suspected of having a learning disorder and given drugs. An actual diagnosis for a learning disorder isn't that casual.

...and as far as the black kids having asthma, I'd believe that. In the time he was talking about there was probably far less regulation as far as air quality, housing quality, and zoning was concerned...I'm not that educated on the subject but I'm willing to believe it wasn't just mass hysteria. There was probably some parents that exploited they're kids, but there had to be an actual problem in the first place to make it an easy situation to exploit.

Mein Kampf is an interesting read. The first half of the book is basically him writing about how he was raised catholic but had a falling out with the church. He had a hard for science but ended up back at some form of nondescript Christianity when he realized he was too stupid for science.

A child that has servere degree of Autism isn't faking. So I don't know what you are talking about. Not every person with Autism behaves the same. I talk to parents who have Autistic child, so I know a little about it, and I'm not against them. I don't agree how Mr. Savage behaved, and how he handled the issue, but I'm going to deny sometimes children are misdiagnosed.

Learning Disability is another one that has a wide spectrum of issues. If a person has math level is two years ahead of his English level then he has a LD. So what type of LD are thinking of? nevermind

The whole problem with this whole arguement is semantics, what specific ASD and LD are you and Mr. Savage talking about - they are umbrella terms that cover a wide spectrum of issues.

.....michael savage says autism "99% of the time" is an excuse for bad behaviour...it's an excuse that requires a hell a lot of a work, and appointments and stress. Yes a select few parents are bleeding hearts, but for the most part the diagnosis of any kind of mental disability requires too much effort for it to be a lazy parenting move.He probably thinks unless you act like the rainman than you can't be autistic. My whole point was that Mike was talking in generalities.

It's a douchey move to bring up personal experience, but I remember when I was in kindergarten and I got in trouble for not listening to teachers and not being polite or participating in activities...it wasn't because I was trying to cause sh*t, I honestly didn't know what the hell was going on.I was subjected to the "good old fashioned discipline" approach cause I lived in some hick town....I didn't get diagnosed with a learning disability til I was 20 was far removed that town....

I'm personally familiar with the Mr.Savage archetype and I'd like to say he's full of ****....and that the no nonsense approach has probably made him the optimistic and cheery person you heard in that clip.

I took that as a hyperbole, because it's not like he actually took time to do research to arrive at that number. ( I'm not defending what he's saying about autism.)

Those talk show hosts just make comments about news, and then they themselfves become the news, it just goes 'round and 'round. Each one puts a little different interpretation & spin to it. For some hosts it's provocative, and other it's half news half entertainment. There is nothing different from them and us, the only thing that makes them differnt from us is they're holding the microphone to a forum uses radio and telephones.

I understand what he does is commentary--but there is a difference between between ordinary conjecture and spouting utter bull****. He may not literally mean 99% of the time, but he's still implying through hyperbole that most cases of autism are fraudulent...which is a lie.

..there is a difference between him and me....he's an ignorant asshole and a bully, and I try my hardest not to be.

I remember that show, I also remember when MSNBC fired him.
Which was because of this...

Yeah, kinda tells you how much of a liberal bias MSNBC has, not for firing the guy, but for finding the stupidist conservative pundit they could find and hiring him in the first place.

"Our most important and inconsequencial inventions have come almost exclusively from white males"

What a retard. What is this guy's problem? is this a contest between the races?

What about all the stuff Asians invented? This guy seriously believes the only things the Chinese invented is paper and gunpowder?

Or how about Muslims, those barbaric savages as we know them? What did they ever invent for us? Other then modern chemistry, modern medicine, several academic disciplines and a variety of legal and educational institutions. But who cares about that sh*t?
