Also, if Christians don't want to be thought of as being retards by secular society, they should start by trying to figure out the difference between Christians and Deists, since the people who consider this nation to be founded on Christianity obviously can't.

As for Hitler being an athiest, I don't know if that's even true or not, I do know he used Christianity to justify his actions, funny papa bear didn't bring that up.

Mein Kampf is an interesting read. The first half of the book is basically him writing about how he was raised catholic but had a falling out with the church. He had a hard for science but ended up back at some form of nondescript Christianity when he realized he was too stupid for science.

...sometimes I think Bill O'Reilly is a secret liberal and the O'reilly factor uses that repetitive all in the family plot device ...Archie Bunker spouts ignorant nonsense, and then he gets owned by a black dude thats richer than him, or a *** guy thats stronger than him. I've never seen a pundit get his ass handed to him on such a regular basis.

Well you're from another country so maybe you don't understand the concept of American punditry.

Basically, the crenditials for being a successful pundit in the American media requires that you know how to yell at people, no political knowledge or journalistic integrity required.

It's mostly just a competition to see who can be the most loud, stupid and obnoxious because that's where the money is at. And yeah, I think Savage is the unbeatable champion.

I don't know why it took so long for people to realise how much of an idiot this guy is, but it seemed his recent comments on autism really did the job.

Michael Savage Goes Off On Kids With Autism

I don't think Mr. Savage (which isn't his real last name btw) is talking about the original defintion of Autism but the redefined definition of Autism that includes ADD, ADHS, and other behaviour disorders. I give him the benefit of the doubt on that one, that he's not talking about children who have a exetremely difficult time communictating with other, he is talking about the children who misbehave and are labeled by doctors as ADD or ADHD - when they're not.

Minority children have a higher percentage of asthma, I remember a study and the said one factor of why child who are minority had asthma is because a majority of them live in the inner city, where there was certain pollutants would aggravated their lungs. His point about that was parents who told their children to act like they had asthma.

If he didn't go off on a tangent and go ballistic, the point he was trying to make would had made some sense. I think his whole arguement is about parents, doctors, and programs but I can understand where other people think his arguement is about something else.

He didn't even mention ADD or ADHD, at all, he was talking about straight up autism.

Now if he was just ranting about how everyone thinks they have a disorder, that's one thing, but he clearly said 99% of the kids diagnosed with autism were just being brats and all they need is a good beating, if I was the parent of an autistic kid I'd want that guy's f*cking head mounted on my wall.

Savage is just utterly incapable of relating to anyone different from him, so he can never acknowledge that someone could have a problem that an upper class, middle aged, conservative christian white man doesn't have.

You're a black guy who is poor and can't find a job? Nah you're just being lazy. You're being discriminated against? No you're not. You have AIDS? Too bad, you shouldn't have slept around you whore. Got raped? You must have asked for it. Your kids have a mental disorder? No they don't, you're a bad parent, beat the f*ck out of them.

This is basically how he makes his living.

I guess it's pretty easy to fake autism. You just go the doctor to get refered to about 1000 other doctors who refer you to a learning specialist who you shell over a wad of cash for a diagnosis that might not even be autism.

There's also these people that say school accomodations for kids with learning disabilities give them an unfair advantage somehow...they don't do the work for these kids...they just give a kid that's easily distracted an exam in a room that's less distracting, just to give one example.

...you might be confusing kids with add and adhd with kids who are suspected of having a learning disorder and given drugs. An actual diagnosis for a learning disorder isn't that casual.

...and as far as the black kids having asthma, I'd believe that. In the time he was talking about there was probably far less regulation as far as air quality, housing quality, and zoning was concerned...I'm not that educated on the subject but I'm willing to believe it wasn't just mass hysteria.There was probably some parents that exploited they're kids, but there had to be an actual problem in the first place to make it an easy situation to exploit.
