I realise your position of "defend the presidency at all costs" must be stressful and tiring but you need to relax a little. And that was funny adidass even if the link is a dud.

I've gotten shot by a pellet gun my friend. Hurts like hell, and actually was sore and slightly swollen for maybe 4 days, but that was it. I understand the humor value, since I laughed when I first saw it, but that's really all it is. This has no effect on the man's ability or lack of ability to do his job.

You've been shot by a pellet gun, he was shot by a shotgun loaded with pellets. You're young, he's old. The stakes are slightly different. I don't care what "happens when you're hunting", a man in a position of such power should be the sort of person able to correctly assess the situation. Cheney failed to do so, which reflects upon how he acts within the confines of his political status.

You're lack of hunting experience makes it hard for you to analyze the situation, much less show how Cheney did a poor job analyzing the situation.

Cheney was not aware that one member of the party was missing. I don't care what protocols are commonly in place, if you're wandering around with a loaded gun you should know who's actually in the "line" before you start pulling the trigger. A Vice President can, and should, be expect to live up to higher standards and act with greater responsibility than the average person. If he weren't why aren't we sticking Johnny Nobody in the seat of power? This is NOT a hunting issue, this is a position based issue.
