North Korea
they are threatening us. I knew they were testing those nukes for us.

1st post before close!

Wait what? Are you seriously suggesting a middle eastern country is being hostile towards the United States?
|
apparently nobody heard of this because it isn't posted anywhere.

Edit: 7 out of 10 MB users are still trying to locate North Korea on a world map. |
I suck I was thinking Pakistan for some reason.

no, korea is much more of a threat than those middle eastern idiots. I think Korea has the technology for half a dozen atomic bombs and at least one nuclear missile. I don't know alot about this though, but the news doesn't talk about it much.

The "land war in Asia" thing originally came from something Gen. MacArthur said to JFK I think. |

And we just need to continue what we're doing. At some point there has to be some sort of revolt, the living conditions there are absolute hell. If countries around the world weren't shipping food, etc, then it would have already fallen through. Though the one worry is if Kim Jong-Il gets desperate and starts doing crazy ****. |
I think this is one issue where the American way of things pisses me off. I know we said we'd never interfere in the governments of other countries, but I feel as if they should just ship in the snipers.
The man is no good for anyone. |

To be honest, we could have interceded far more often, in far more governments than we actually do. |

The amount of people in this thread that seem to believe North Korea is in the middle east is scary.
As for Darfur, it is likely the region will always be a cluster****. |
But Afghanistan! Oh man that area is just waiting to be democratically and turn into a free country. And it's really only Darkest Hour that thinks its in the middle east. I was posting on little sleep and up late and forgot what thread I was in. Besides if we removed China I'd be right.

Bin Laden and Al Queda = direct threat to the US
Leaders in Sudan = not a direct threat to the US That wasn't all that hard of an equation. |
Um that's not really what I was talking about at all. It was more an attack on people like the US President (both Bush and Obama) who ignore the socioeconomic/religious fundamentalism of the area and get all pissy when Karzai agrees to legalize the abuse of women.

when the f did bob dole open an account on Musicbanter?
Alejo has a point though, even if it was complete bull****, iraq was based on the premise of a direct threat. And the Bush doctrine goes along with that. |

North Korea is so messed up financially now I doubt Kim Jong-il would attack the United States. However there are those rumors floating around that he's sick and there's a slight internal power struggle going on behind closed curtains. Regardless of whether he's in the midst of checking out, I really don't think he'd condemn his ****hole of a country to the consequences that would happen if he attacked the United States with a nuclear weapon. I think it's just him trying to get the World's attention, that said there is no harm in being pre-cautious |
