And people who are worried about dying are overreacting. Today's just as good a day to die as tomorrow or yesterday. |
One school that is really close to me is already closed because a group of students just got back from a class trip to Mexico, and one person has flu like symptoms and they need to test if its swine flu.
It doesn't really have me all that worried. There is such a small amount of people getting infected right now, many precautions are being taken to stop it from spreading, and nearly everybody is going to survive it, with the exception of people that are vulnerable to disease, you know, babies and old people. |

I guess I have to lay off of the cow brains for a while. |
it's obvious we're all going to die fools. Stop pretending you don't give a sh.it. I haven't been out of my house for a week and i have been making an underground shelter for doomsday. Stock up on canned foods and get your asses downstairs because you are indeed, all going to die if you don't act fast. Heed this warning!

By the way mad cow's disease is a prion, rogue proteins. Proteins as you probably know are chains of amino acids and they are folded into a certain structure or "confirmation" to work (other chaperone proteins help with such folding). Prions themselves cause some other proteins to misfold which is what causes the diseases. I don't like the swine flu hype, but I can understand it. At the moment, we don't know how many lives it's gonna take because it's not a full blown pandemic yet. It seems some of you prefer to wait until after it's become a pandemic, then see if it's worthy the hype or not. Maybe the media in America is a bit too hysterical (how would I know?), but I think the point is that we need to take preventative measures to be sure this does not get out of hand. If I were a government, I'd be careful with this situation as well. |

I don't think Swine Flu will kill of a hefty amount of people. Airports are doing a pretty good job of keeping sick people off planes. I heard this morning that you have to go through an infered device that looks sort of liek a metal detector. This infered machine takes your body heat. And if it is over 102 or 105 (I forget what they said.) you are puleld out of line, and are required to take a test for Swine Flu and other sickness. Pretty smart in my mind.

"The Swine Flu. It’s coming. It’s coming for your children and your parents. It’s coming for your co-workers and your acquaintances. And worst of all, it’s coming for your swine."
Face it...we're all goners. |
