Its all about the news stations wanting high ratings.

Better watch out Bird Flu is coming back as well!! Dont forget Mad Cow Disease when some idiots actually believed they could catch it lol.
How strange it would be to wake up one morning, look in the mirror & you have the head of a 'mad' cow.
Also is it now socially unacceptable to call somebody a 'swine' as it may offend people who have 'swine flu'?

It is believed by most scientists that the disease may be transmitted to human beings who eat the brain or spinal cord of infected carcasses.[3] In humans, it is known as new variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (vCJD or nvCJD), and by February 2009, it had killed 164 people in Britain, and 42 elsewhere[4] with the number expected to rise because of the disease's long incubation period.[5]

I still believe it is overexaggerated(Swine Flu in particular) and is just exploited by the media to sell press.

Correct! & If i knew 'everything' then I wouldnt be on this forum in the first place would I? I just read up a bit on Swine Flu & it said there was an outbreak in 1917 or something which killed 50 million people.
Swine influenza - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The "Spanish" influenza pandemic of 1918–19 infected one third of the world's population (or around 500 million persons at that time) and caused around 50 million deaths.[12] Wikipedia [Quote]
