i was wondering this for a while. is Judaism a faith (read: religion) or just a subculture people ascribe to?
i was always instructed growing up that it was strictly a religious choice, but now that i'm growing older i notice more and more people that view themselves as Jewish (in the same way that 'Christians' do) but don't necessarily view it as a spiritual matter. i'm not saying either is right or wrong, but i just don't understand what the definition of "Jewish" is anymore.

My father is Jewish but I'm not because my mom is not. He eats pork and is not very obsessive with the religous stuff like not doing anything on Sunday. So its just a point of view.
