i just admire his geopolitical swag tho i don't support homophobia and **** like that

he is certainly a cold hearted bastard

but then again so was every single ruler of russia that was ever worth mentioning
Except that his massive military buildups are bankrupting a country already about to hit an economic collapse. He may have swagger but he's about to gut his Russia's economy.

Fun fact: Russia still practiced serfdom/feudalism until the mid-1800s.

russia has always been in a sort of tough spot because of geography. the buffer state he is trying to create is honestly perfectly logical from a russian pov. it's a scenario that repeats itself throughout history again and again

but i think he has probably brought too much hellfire down on his regime and ultimately he will likely be overthrown by some close associates who start to regard him as too much of a liability

i honestly feel like i wish i was born in russia

and my name should have been vladimir

its funny cause thinking of the fact that both putin and dracula had the name vlad i got curious the other night and decided to look it up

Just took the survey wpnfire took. I'm not surprised by the results, though I would have though "socialist" would at least be above "libertarian" if not above "democrat".

Except that their economy is seriously on the brink of collapse. Too lazy to find the links to the articles I was reading on the subject, but it basically sounds like he's about to run Russia into the ground in the next year or two.

i don't doubt it. a quick google search brings me this.

Russia's Economic Crisis Has Officially Arrived - Business Insider

but i was just saying that there is of course a historical context for all of this. putin didn't take a well functioning nation and run it into the ground. russia was already ****ed and putin was seen as the solution. and he worked for a little while. but now things are looking bleak for russia once more. these videos are worth checking out if you want to see where i'm coming from.

and these, if you want even more context
