I honetly never really thought about corporal punishment until seeing this thread. After reading the posts here, I got interested and read some articles on corporal punishment and its almost disgusting on how accepted the practice is in America. Its a real eye opener to how messed up this country really is when I'm just figuring out that almost half of the states here allow corporal punishment in schools, and how we are one of the only industrialized countries that has no laws against it. Of course I knew that its still legal for corporal punishment at home, but it angers me on how accepted it is among Americans and how small of a minority my family is because we never use physical punishment.
