Kepler was launched!!!
I am so excited to see what happens here. Previously we were only able to see large gas giant planets, this telescope will be able to detect planets like our own... This is one of the most interesting times for us as humans. I know the probability of life on other planets is 100% but this will make that a visual 100%. Maybe I'm just over excited I don't know.

He isn't "posting nonsense." The probability of something being 100% is itself an oxymoronic statement, because probability isn't definitiveness it's about likelihood. That is just semantics however, if we examine that statement scientifically we'd see it has no basis for it whatsoever as nothing about lifeforms on other planets is one-hundred percent proven.

Sleepy Jack you are 100% right and alive. Also with the infinate number of Stars in space that have there own solar systems you would be not only selfish but a fool to think that this is the only planet that harbors life. It just makes sense... Thats of course my take and 99.9 % of scientists out there. Give me about 2 to 3 years and I will tell you that I told you so. What is the possibility of life other planets? « Ask an Astrobiologist « NASA Astrobiology
