Black History Month...
I guess this might be a little late in the month, but whatever. Its not that the fact that people are celebrating black history, its the fact that their history is the only one that gets its own month.
All other races have had to deal with racism in some time throughout history, why not celebrate the history of all of them? I would really like to see black history changed to something that is about all races, cultures, groups, ect. that made a great impact on America. Back when black history month came out, I'm sure it was neccesary because black history really wasn't covered in schools and history books. But now I think its neccesary to dedicate this month to everybody's history and origin. Anybody else feel the same here? |

Culture Month sounds like a noble idea on paper, but we're already celebrating all cultures, everyday, on TV, espcially in Canada. There are not enough days in a month and not enough months in a year to celebrate all cultures specifically.

On the flip side, is there really so little black history that it can be crammed into one month per year? Why not integrate black history so it can be explored along with all other cultures.
