Proggy is right...there's an entire region of the world who wants the Jewish people (not just Israel) wiped off the face of the planet. This isn't even bringing into account the fact there's still Neo-Nazis out there and people who think the Jews control the world. I don't like going into "oh who has it worse" but saying Jewish people aren't suffering any sort of prejudice is just stupid.
Well, I was actually talking about the racism towards Middle Eastern people in the U.S., but yeah, there's a lot of groups experiencing just as much racism as Blacks, why not have a month dedicated to teaching the histories of oppressed peoples?

We shouldn't even be arguing why other races should have their own month when you think black history month itself is a bad concept.
I don't think it's a bad concept I think it's stupid for it to only include black people.

Exactly, I don't like the concept of giving particular races their own months. But I think just getting rid of any particular monthes dedicated to a race and just having one month dedicated to the idea of reducing ignorance and prejudice through education. Its not going to be dedicated to a particular race, or even multiple races, the month would just be dedicated to the idea of using educating people to reduce prejudice.

As long as society continue to single out one ethnicity, in whatever context, we will never achieve an equal society.

Colour blind.

Not just regarding skin colour but also sex and sexual orientation. Any different characteristics attributed to the members of the difference groups simply due to their membership are artificial and created by expectations from society, whether it's that black teens wear baggy clothes, that homosexual men have feminine characteristics or that women shouldn't desire sex as much as men. To quote Simone de Beauvoir, "One is not born a woman, one becomes one." This apply to black people just as much.
