I still think there should be a rule made for every election that says the president is not to be announced until the polls are closed in every state.
Not that it would make a difference, the electorial vote is still the great decider, but you know that when the winner is announced so early it discourages the rest of the country from voting, making the popular vote even more worthless than it already is.
This helped Bush in 2000 a great deal, thanks to John Prescott Ellis and FoxNews deciding that all it takes to make a man president is to SAY he's the president.
