it's nearly dinner time and Obama hasn't fixed a damn thing.

Anyone see Bush's face at the inauguration? Made me crack up. Was watching the event live on CNN.com all the way through, it was a goddamn beautiful thing.

I was actually pretty unimpressed by Obama's speech. Not sure what I was expecting but it sure as hell had more of a punch that what was said.

I'll agree that the speech was so-so... but the event itself was a sight for sore eyes. All these people in this one place to see this day in history go down. I dunno, just struck my heartstring for some reason. I went into school this morning and saw a lot of happy black people, a lot of happy people in general... People were excited, and filled with, dare I say hope. It made me smile.

I hope people take a realistic view about this. Seriously people, he's not Jesus. Even still, I can't help but feel a little optimistic myself. Barring an overthrow of the Roman Empire I think he'll do a fantastic job.

You know Democrats seem to take defeat way better than Republicans. I'm not saying this just because I'm a lefty the amount of hateful comments I've heard from Republicans at my school is annoying (and rather sickening.) I mean maybe its just because all Democrats are liberal pussies but they weren't this negative when Kerry lost, shit they weren't even this mean about Gore losing and that was a bunch of bullshit. I mean even Chris Rock came out and said he wanted Bush to do really well.

The supreme court ruled in favor of Bush and that was the end of that. Interesting fact about that though, it went 4-5 for Bush directly down party lines. Just so everyone understands (in case no one did) how fair and nonpartisan the judicial branch actually isn't.

Antonin Scalia is worse. I hate the entire supreme court. The whole idea of a conservative wing or a liberal wing completely undermines the whole idea of a fair court. It also strikes me as undemocratic that a group of unelected individuals can shape public policy. It would be one thing if they were apolitical judges but they're not in the slightest.

It wasn't Obama that fucked up during the Oath of Office, it was Roberts, who missed the cues. Seriously what the fuck is he being paid for?

Ah yeah, I don't know either but I was incredibly annoyed with it. I wouldn't be surprised if he did it intentionally just to screw up a key part of the inauguration.
