I feel a bit sorry for the six million modern Mayans, who have repeatedly insisted that their ancestors did not predict the end of the world happening today, rather that the calendar ends and goes back to the start, rather like the fact that the world isn't destroyed every January 1st.

Hope they manage a few chuckles out of today.
Especially when NASA have been receiving genuinely concerned emails asking whether there is a huge comet behind the sun which has been waiting to destroy us and whether or not we should commit suicide now.
