Too true. Clothes shopping is like pulling teeth for me. Just give me a ****ty t-shirt with Mario on it and I'm happy.

I hate clothes shopping with a passion because it takes ****ing forever to do. Also because my mother is such a terrible critic of things that I pick out if I go shopping with her. She ruined it for me, basically.

Today on the news, there was a sort of apocalypse update. It seems a lot of people are travelling to the mountain Rtanj in Serbia because they think its pyramid shape will protect them or something from the apocalypse on Dec. 21.

You can see it's got some sort of magical geometry.

There's a similar situation in France. People are travelling to the mountain Pic de Bugarach. Travellers believe it contains a space ship that will take humanity someplace safe when society hits the fan. What I like about this mountain is that the French government has in response to this, bless them, closed it off to visitors. Of course it would be dangerous having fruitcakes all over the mountain top.

I like how the French are strict on religious (and similar) nutcakery.

It also says that people are stocking up on candles in China and Russia while in America, a lot of people have bought, uhm, I guess you call them shelters or panic rooms.

So, there is some hysteria going on :)

NASA's "Why The World Didn't End Yesterday" video has hit the internet a bit early. Perhaps they're hoping it might contribute to reducing world-wide hysteria. Either way, it sheds a little bit of light on why this is a thing at all, which is interesting.

Here it is :

Is anybody going to alter their routine next Friday? Given all these shootings and my proximity to a lot of stupid religious people, a part of me just wants to stay in next Friday so I don't get caught up in some asshole's decision to let loose because he's going to die anyways.

Nope, I am still driving to the airport nice and early to pick up my dad when he gets back from Vancouver. I may, however, die from being smothered by holiday travellers.

Nobody is going crazy over this here, really. Nothing out of the ordinary is happening and there are no real religious nuts out in the open. (Perhaps they're all in their underground bunkers or something now, who knows).
