So, after searching a bit, I found this old thread and thought it might be interesting to dust it off as it concerns a matter which people, ironically, seemed much more interested in a few years back when the thread was made, bt which nevertheless is much more relevant today - at least temporally speaking.
The day of our doom, higher consciousness or judgment could be near, according to some. Here are some interesting posts I found after a quick rummage through the thread : Quote:

Anyone still worried? I myself had this prediction for December 13 (if Dec. 12 was the predicted doomsday) : So, how will you celebrate "I told you so" day?

I do find it interesting that this date is upon us. People have spent so much time talking about it, and we are actually just a few days away...I dunno I guess it will be mildly interesting to pass through unscathed but generally I don't waste too much time thinking about it.
However, if something negative goes down, I will be pissed (who will complain if it is some kind of conscious awakening). I'm trying to graduate next semester...and if the world ends and I just have 5 months before I get out of here, someone's gonna have some explaining to do in the next life...

There are a couple amusing stories coming through as we get closer to the date. I heard of one car dealership having an "End-of-the-World Sale" where people can just splurge now, and, if the world does end, they won't have to worry about future payments.
On a more disturbing note, I've also heard stories of people putting their pets down so they don't have to go through any misery on the 21st. |
